Remembrance Day at Wexham Court Primary School
Armistice Day, or Remembrance Day as it's also known, marks the very day that World War One ended in 1918. On Thursday 11th November, we took part in the national 2-minute silence to honour and remember the armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
In honour of Remembrance day, all classes throughout the school created beautiful poppy wreaths. After our 2-minute silence, the Head and Deputy prefects took the wreaths made by each class to Slough War Memorial and were humbled to lay them down next to the names of our local war heroes who gave their lives for us.
Our fantastic School Council team also went around the school selling poppies and other goodies to raise money for the Poppy Appeal Collection.
