Preparing every child to become a successful individual in an ever evolving world

Daily Skipping

This year, all pupils in years 1 – 6 have been given a skipping rope to use every break time. Teachers have been teaching pupils how to skip and at the end of the month Miss Mehat has challenged them to beat her in a skipping competition.

All children are actively increasing their heart rate and laughing as they do. Skipping is a great way to get fit and improve hand stamina and coordination, all of which are essential for writing.

Did you know, skipping...

  • Improves heart health
  • Increases concentration
  • Improves coordination
  • Increases stamina and gets rid of fatigue
  • Increases body flexibility
  • Boost mental health
  • Decreases belly fat
  • Strengthening your bones
